THE ORIGIN OF VACCINES

Now we are living a pandemic we fully understand the importance of vaccines. The word "vaccine" ("vacuna" in Spanish) comes from the latin "vacca", this is, cow. But, what is the relationship between vaccination and cows? To answer to that question we need to travel back to the 18th century, to a small town in England.
